NYC based greeting card company is turning the bland world of greeting cards on its lame ass.

(Novemeber 17th, 2004 New York) With cards about spreading icing all over your loved ones calves to celebrating birthdays with ugly children, Manhattan based greeting card company, Uncooked, is sure to make the process of buying a greeting card a little less painful. Thanks to the brazen new line of cards from Uncooked, people can now give birthday cards, love cards, miss you cards, etc. to their girlfriends, boyfriends, friends, whoever- without feeling stupid, sappy or shamefully sentimental.

The combination of their irreverently phrased messages and sweet but bordering sick illustrations makes them the kinds of cards that are actually cool to give and get. For instance, one of the hottest selling love cards has a delightfully hand drawn illustration of a bed on the front with a message that reads, “ If I woke up and realized you crapped all over me in your sleep, I would still love you just the same.”

The people behind the wheel are Natalie Carbone and Armand Prisco. A few months ago they decided to join forces and take over the world. When they realized that was much too time consuming and inconvenient, they decided to reach for a much lower goal and take over the greeting card world. As Armand Prisco puts it, “We wanted to create a card line with a sense of humor people could actually relate to and, more importantly, laugh at. As stated by Natalie Carbone, “Our cards are just funny and weird and purposely unsugarcoated. Most people don’t want lame and sappy and appropriate. They want real, and funny and inappropriate. They want to laugh, dammit.”

The line consists of 40 different cards, touching on such topics as birthday, love, miss you, sorry, holidays and more. All cards are sold individually for around $4.00 and come in clear cello sleeve and a pretty colored envelope. Uncooked cards can be found in numerous stores and specialty boutiques throughout the US. Some stores in New York include:
